Outbound sales workflows
Manage sales callbacks with the conversation in view.
A prospect asks you to call tomorrow. Another returns a call while you’re unavailable. These need different follow-up steps. EmberDial puts scheduled callbacks and supported missed-call follow-up in the calling workspace, alongside lead context.
When a prospect asks for a later call
At the end of the conversation, record the outcome and notes. When you choose a callback outcome, enter the follow-up date and time. Include the reason for the next call in your notes: the question to answer, the person to involve, or the detail the prospect asked you to check.
The dialer’s “My callbacks today” area shows scheduled callbacks when there are any. It previews up to four entries and links to Appointments when there are more. A saved callback is a follow-up to work; it is not a promise that a prospect will be reached at that time.
When someone returns a call you missed
Open the missed inbound call notification. Where the notification supports direct follow-up, “Call back” opens the return-call flow. Other notifications take you to call history instead. Check the lead and conversation context available in your workspace before following up.
The return-call flow needs a calling number and accessible lead details. If the lead cannot be loaded, EmberDial shows that no call was started. Calling setup, your access and the notification’s available action determine which follow-up you can take.
Use the previous conversation to prepare
Notes and recorded outcomes give the next call a purpose. When a completed call’s transcript is available, review what was said rather than relying on memory. For example, “Call Thursday after the buyer reviews the proposal” gives a teammate more context than “Follow up.”
In a demo, walk through a scheduled callback and a supported missed-call notification separately. Check how your team sees the lead, finds prior context and starts the return call. Inbound handling depends on your configured calling setup and who is available to answer.
