Switching from Convoso: what to test first

  1. Run a real calling block.Dial a sample list in power mode, then in predictive mode, and count the live conversations each agent reaches in an hour.
  2. Check the caller ID each lead sees.Confirm the local number chosen for leads in your main states, and open one number’s Healthy, Watch or Flagged status.
  3. Review a finished call.Find its transcript and summary, and with Agent Assist & coaching its graded review, and check that a manager can coach from them.
  4. Move a sample of leads.Export a sample from Convoso or your CRM as CSV, import it with field mapping, and check callbacks, dispositions and notes before moving everything. To connect your CRM instead, name it during onboarding.
  5. Set your compliance rules.Set calling windows and DNC screening for the states you call, and agree who keeps consent records.
  6. Time your voicemails.Voicemail drop is coming soon. Until it ships, measure how long agents spend leaving voicemails in a normal session before you switch.

EmberDial vs Convoso: questions

Does Convoso publish its prices?

No. Convoso’s pricing page lists no prices and asks for a quote based on your seats, features and integrations. It says it primarily offers annual plans and lists 20% off annual plans. EmberDial publishes $99 per concurrent calling license a month plus $0.02 per connected minute, starting at one license; monthly prices are published and annual terms are quoted.

Does Convoso have a free trial?

No. Convoso’s pricing page says it doesn’t offer a free trial and offers live customized demos instead. EmberDial offers trials by request: our team checks each request by hand, then sets up a short trial with a set amount of calling credit.

Does Convoso offer predictive dialing?

Yes. Convoso lists predictive dialing and multimode dialing. EmberDial campaigns run in power or predictive mode, and agents can also dial by hand from the dialpad (click-to-call). Power and predictive pacing slows above a 2.5% abandon rate and drops to one line above 3%, per campaign over a rolling 30 days; a campaign pauses above 4.5% once it has at least 50 answered calls and 10 abandons.

How do Convoso Ignite and EmberDial’s local caller ID compare?

Convoso lists Ignite, number management to raise contact rates, and caller ID reputation as a product; local numbers aren’t listed on its pricing page. EmberDial includes 10 US local numbers per calling license, pooled within your agency, and picks a number from your own pool: exact area code, then same state, then same region, then any active number. Each number shows a spam-risk level of Healthy, Watch or Flagged; a number not checked in the last 7 days shows Watch until it is checked again, and a flagged number rests automatically, out of rotation.

How do Convoso StateTracker and EmberDial’s state calling rules compare?

Convoso’s StateTracker limits daily contact attempts by area and zip code, with different rules per state. EmberDial uses each campaign’s calling window (8am to 9pm local time by default) plus built-in Texas, Alabama and Louisiana windows; dialpad calls use a fixed 8am to 9pm window. It caps attempts for Florida, Oklahoma, Maryland (3 per 24 hours) and Maine (1 per 8 hours).

Who is responsible for compliance after moving from Convoso?

Your agency. EmberDial’s agreement makes your agency the caller responsible for consent, registrations and how your team calls; no dialer can take that responsibility for you. The toolkit includes internal DNC checks on every dial, DNC.com screening with your own account, calling windows, state attempt caps, abandon-rate pacing, recording-disclosure prompts for all-party-consent states, manual dialing from the dialpad and an append-only audit log. See the compliance tools.

What does it cost to move from Convoso to EmberDial?

Self-service has no setup fee. Onboarding and one CRM connection are included for every team, with no setup fee. Major cleanup and white-label work are quoted separately. If you are partway through an annual Convoso agreement, compare the remaining term and any exit costs before you switch.
